For a blog called Love Letter, February is a very competitive month :) In order to stay up to snuff, we'll post at least once a day during the month (a tall order, I know!).
To start the month off, we will respond to the recent "shot out" from the blog Confessions of a Born Again Virgin her post about what love is NOT. Since Love Letter blog is dedicated to exploring how Godly love manifests and can be demonstrated, I thought an appropriate response might be one about what love IS. For fear of being redundant, I decided to post a fun video to drive the point home :)
God describes His loving relationship to His people as a husband to a wife. See love danced in this fun video from a married couples ministry that showcases couples married 3 years to over 40 years. If the moves don't impress you, the beauty of enduring love should.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself. After all, no one ever hated his own body, but he feeds and cares for it, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of his body.
Ephesians 5:25-30
